Acacia melanoxylon also popularly known as "blackwood " is a very widely used member of the wattle family.
Its wood is very hard and its height can be anything between 35 to 120. It is commonly used to make spears by Aborigines.
In modern world it is popularly used in the craft and building industry. The color of the flowers is yellow which grow from the months of July to October. It is largely found in the forests of Northwest Tasmania.
